What's the Best Exercise For Type 2 Diabetics?

VA new randomized control trial found that both aerobic exercise such as jogging, cycling or walking-and resistance such as weightlifting improved glycemic / blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. However, the best results were obtained when patients combined the workouts. Each participant in the study was published in the journal "Annals of Internal Medicine," on the changes in A1c value, a number that reflects blood sugar concentrations evaluated. A drop of 1Percent in this value will decrease by 15 to 20 percent reduction in risk of heart attack or stroke, and 25-40 percent for the risk of diabetic eye disease or kidney disease.
